Official Giveaway Rules and Conditions - USA & CA

THE TERM

The "Cedar Planters Giveaway" (the "Giveaway") begins on September 22nd, 2026 and ends on September 27th, 2026 (the "Entry Period"). No extensions will be granted.

Cedar Planters Inc. is the official sponsor of the Giveaway (the "Sponsor").

A random drawing to select the winner will be conducted by Cedar Planters Inc. on or about September 28th, 2026.

Entries submitted outside of the Entry Period will not be considered.

ELIGIBILITY

The Giveaway is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia and of Canada, excluding the Province of Quebec, who are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry.

The following individuals are not eligible to participate:

  • Employees, representatives, or immediate family/household members of Cedar Planters Inc.
  • Affiliates, subsidiaries, promotional partners, advertising agencies, or any entity involved in the administration of this Giveaway (collectively, the "Giveaway Entities").

This Giveaway is void in Quebec and wherever prohibited by law.
All federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply.

Multiple entries are allowed; however:

  • Tagging the same person repeatedly or using fake/duplicate accounts may result in disqualification.
  • Entries that appear automated, spam-like, or violate Instagram's terms will also be disqualified.

HOW TO ENTER

To enter the Giveaway, participants must:

  1. Follow @CedarPlanters on Instagram.
  2. Like the official Giveaway post.
  3. Tag one or more friends in the comments (each unique tag in a new comment counts as an additional entry).
  4. Bonus Entry (Optional): Share this post to your Instagram Story or repost it to your profile. Note: Your profile must be public so we can verify your entry.

Reminder: Spam behavior, repeated tagging, or use of bots/fake accounts will lead to disqualification.

COMMUNICATION

The winner will be notified via Instagram Direct Message and must respond within 48 hours to claim the prize.

Failure to respond within the timeframe may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

To claim the prize, the selected entrant must correctly answer a skill-testing question, as required under Canadian law. This requirement applies only to selected entrants who are residents of Canada.

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Cedar Planters Inc.'s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Giveaway.

RANDOM DRAWING / PRIZE / ODDS OF WINNING

On September 28th, 2026, Cedar Planters Inc. will conduct a random drawing to award one (1) winner with the following prize:

  • 48" Raised Garden Bed – Cedar Planters
  • Medium Olla Pot
  • Sleeve Feet
  • E-Book

Total value: Approx. $200USD

  • The prize is non-transferable, has no cash value, and must be accepted as awarded.
  • Shipping is included within The United States and Canada only.
  • Cedar Planters Inc. is not responsible for lost, damaged, or delayed shipments once the prize has been sent.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  • Personal information will be used solely for the purpose of administering this Giveaway and delivering the prize.
  • Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway if technical issues or fraud compromise the integrity of the promotion.
  • Entries that do not comply with these rules will be disqualified without notice.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

Cedar Planters Inc. shall not be liable for:

  • [a] Technical malfunctions, network or server errors, or human error in data processing.
  • [b] Lost, misdirected, or incomplete entries.
  • [c] Printing or typographical errors in any promotional materials.
  • [d] Any condition that disrupts the proper administration of the Giveaway.

If such issues arise, Cedar Planters reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Giveaway and award the prize via a random drawing from eligible entries received before cancellation.

ENTRY INTEGRITY

Any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the Giveaway or Cedar Planters' website may violate criminal and civil laws. Cedar Planters Inc. reserves the right to pursue damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  • Automated entries, entries made through unauthorized means, or those submitted via commercial sweepstakes services are prohibited.
  • In the event of a dispute regarding an online entry, the authorized account holder of the email or Instagram account used at the time of entry will be deemed the entrant.

All decisions made by the Sponsor are final and binding.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION / CHOICE OF LAW

Except where prohibited by law, all disputes will be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. This Giveaway is void where prohibited.

USE OF PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

As permitted by law and in accordance with the Sponsor's Privacy Policy, participants agree that their information (e.g., name, email address, etc.) may be shared with promotional partners and third parties. Participants may receive promotional emails unless they opt out.
