3-year limited warranty — plus an additional 21 days to account for delivery — starting from the date of purchase. If your planter has a structural defect, we'll repair it, replace it, or refund the purchase price.

The warranty covers structural defects only. Cosmetic traits like small cracks, silvering, knot holes, and weathering are part of wood's natural aging process and are not covered. Liners naturally wear over time, so they are considered a consumable part and are not included.

I love the Planter box. It was easy to put together and was doing their perfect except that I think you should’ve included one or two more slats for the bottom. It’s much much better to have a little extra than to have gaps in the bottom. The box is very attractive and I’ve had a lot of people come to look at it.. For the plants I wanted to install in the box. The box was deep enough, but I can see how someone might want to plant a flower or vegetable that needs to be deeper in the soil.

I bought 2 planters to use as a screen across my driveway. The Cedar Planters team was very responsive to every question I had. One of the sides was damaged during shipping so they sent me new parts within days of my email. Since I need to move my planter boxes once in a while, I installed 3”caster wheels. This might be an option Cedar Planters should offer in the future.

We recently purchased an 11th floor condo in Vancouver BC and wanted to create a small planted oasis on our deck to try to lure some of the neighborhood birds. We had looked at a number of pre-assembled planter options at various big box stores, but they all looked pretty tacky. My wife saw an advertisement for these cedar planters and they seemed to meet all of our needs for attractiveness, affordability and availability. We purchased two, which were relatively easy to assemble, following the video instructions. Our only minor complaint is that a few of the slats had split during shipping. This didn’t affect the overall assembly or (hopefully) longevity of the planters. Given the nature of the wood that these planters are constructed of, it’s not surprising that there would be some minor flaws in the components. I’m sure the company would have replaced the few broken pieces, but I was anxious to get the planters assembled and filled, so I didn’t bother to ask. Overall, we’re very pleased and will likely purchase a couple more next summer.

How long does assembly really take?

About 10 minutes. Our planters come with pre-cut panels and pre-drilled holes. Just line up the holes, insert the bolts, and tighten with the included wrench. Anyone can do it - we have 85+ year old customers assembling theirs with ease!

Is the cedar treated with any chemicals?

No! Western Red Cedar is naturally rot and pest resistant. It's 100% food-safe for growing vegetables, herbs, and fruits.

What's the difference between Garden Grade and Select Grade?

Garden grade has more natural character - knots, color variation, and grain patterns. Select is our premium grade with more uniform appearance and fewer knots. Both are the same quality and durability.
