This Cedar Planter was a retirement gift for my lovely wife, Nancy, finally she retired at the age of 70 !!!! She has a Herb Garden in our backyard and loves growing them and using them for cooking on a regular basis!!!! Well this planter 18x48 size has become a beautiful addition to our back porch loaded up with Basil, Oregano, Spearmint, Thyme, Rosemary, and Chives!!!!! It’s such a focal point for our large 40 foot long porch !!! Nancy loves the planter and uses the herbs daily which are located in a convenient location!!!! I have 3 Cedar Planters now and I like them very much. The only problem I have had was the first one went together very easy, the last 2 I has to trim the ends of the side pieces for the holes to line up. The end panels and side panels would not fit without triming so that was a problem. I have another one on order now. Hopefully I will not have to trim it as well.

Because of family health issues I have not been able to put together my 5th 48 x 18” cedar planter. Let me assure you that I can’t wait to do so! The box and my tools along with my seeds are sitting just inside the door to my deck awaiting my return home. If I had more room on my deck I would have more than 5. Next year I plan to experiment with a drip irrigation system and that may change my plans. Cedar Planters is the best product!

I did not assemble the planters myself (I am 89 years old) but my helper had no trouble doing it. The planters are on my deck where they get southern and western sunlight, and the herbs and vegetables in them are doing very well. The planter themselves are the shallower ones, adequate for the plants in them and lighter for the planks of the deck. They are handsome to look at. Friends have inquired about them and I have been happy to recommend you.

Wow, incredibly slow delivery!!! Took over 3 weeks for the legs to be delivered, Why is this a problem? Because we couldn't put the dirt into the planter and move the planter to the permanent position until the legs were delivered. Contacted the company several times and got really no acceptable response. Very disappointed overall.

In May I ordered and a large, raised planter with a greenhouse cover. I paid in full at checkout. It took nearly a month to receive the planter and when it arrived, the greenhouse cover was missing. I had to contact the company to ask about it and was told the covers are out of stock and that I would get it in "July". I didn't get the cover until the very end of July, so I missed the entire summer season of planting. The company should let customers know at the time of placing the order if a component is missing so they can make an informed decision about whether to proceed or not. The same day I ordered from Cedar Planters (for over $400 btw), I ordered two planters from another company. Those arrived within 3 days and have been put to good use this summer. Cedar Planters has poor communication and customer service. I won't order from the company again.

Ordered the feet in 2026 for a planter purchased but not assembled in 2025. Planter is lovely. Feet don’t fit. The plastic slots for the feet are narrowly machined and don’t match the metal feet. Had only set up the planter empty a few days before the feet arrived. Plus I was charged $19 flat rate shipping for a set of 4 plastic feet. A waste of money. Went back to the feet directly on raised patio blocks. Don’t bother with these cute useless feet.

I used these dense plastic feet to mount casters to the legs of my cedar planters. I used high strength epoxy to glue the feet onto the bottom of the steel legs, then I drilled a hole and installed a sheet metal screw into each side of the legs, close to the corner of the angle iron. This will keep the legs from pulling off due to torque applied by the casters. I bought some 2" casters from Ace Hardware that have 1/4" mounting bolts and used 1-1/2" washers under the nut to spread the load across the top of the plastic feet. Two of the wheels have locking levers. Now I can roll the planters to different locations on my patio without doing any damage to the boxes, and lock the wheels to keep the wind from blowing them around.

This is my 2nd planter. This one is the upgrade. A jig had to be off as the 2 half built sides would not slide in the allocated slot. I had to trim 2 boards on each side. Tolerances seemed much tighter on the previous one.

The best things about the planter is the planter itself. It is beautiful and very well made. I love both the 36 inch and the 24 inch. The smaller of the two is on my front porch and the larger is on my patio. These two planters give me everything I need except the talent and ability to grow anything......My next purchase is going to be rubber flowers. My planters will even make those look good.
