We added a clear coat of polyurethane to the outside to keep the wood’s new finish, although we could have allowed it to age naturally…just our preference. How long does assembly really take?

About 10 minutes. Our planters come with pre-cut panels and pre-drilled holes. Just line up the holes, insert the bolts, and tighten with the included wrench. Anyone can do it - we have 85+ year old customers assembling theirs with ease!

Is the cedar treated with any chemicals?

No! Western Red Cedar is naturally rot and pest resistant. It's 100% food-safe for growing vegetables, herbs, and fruits.

What's the difference between Garden Grade and Select Grade?

Garden grade has more natural character - knots, color variation, and grain patterns. Select is our premium grade with more uniform appearance and fewer knots. Both are the same quality and durability.
